Trekvogelpad hiking in Holland

Trekvogelpad. Discover many of the different Dutch landscapes by crossing the country from west to east on foot. This long distance trail starts at the North Sea Coast in the dunes of the small village of Bergen aan Zee. Through the watery and grassy province of North Holland you will come across Amsterdam and continue through the foresty Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Veluwe National Park. After that you will reach the river IJssel. From there the farmlands of the eastern Achterhoek with fields, old trees and farmhouses will marke the landscape. The walking guide of this path is in Dutch, but easy to folow because of the detailed maps with the route drawn in. Additionally you will find addresses on the route to spend the night and a timetable of busroutes to get of or on the route everywhere you like.
